Stargate Universe aired from 2009 to 2011 as the third series in the Stargate franchise. Since I lived and breathed SG-1, and also loved Atlantis, I watched SGU when it aired. At the time, my reaction was: Meh.

But I decided to rewatch it recently. In general, removed by time from the rest of the franchise, I appreciate it more now. (Confession: While I like it more than I did, my Stargate ranking of SG-1 then Atlantis then SGU still stands.)

Even though I’m ten years late, I REALLY want to talk about the communication stones. There’s a lot going on here. And some of it’s weird.

But that’s just how I feel about it. What do YOU think?

Logically, the petition can’t FORCE anyone to make a new Stargate. That’s durentis. But making the effort to sign a petition does indicate to a potential studio/network that you’ll likely tune in to any new Stargate program! Guaranteed viewers = Money. Which means a greater likelihood that we get a new show!!!

(I might make a few more videos talking about SGU and some of the hit-or-miss characters and plot points. Initially, I wanted to make a single video discussing nine points -- one for each chevron. But I knew it would get insanely long. There’s a lot to unpack about season two. But overall, I think if there had been a slightly longer gap between the end of Atlantis and the start of SGU, the series might have had a longer run.)

P.S. I realized I said something about the stones being at the SGC. But I know they're at Homeworld Command. No one else may have noticed. But I noticed. And it bothers me that it's too late to fix it. Bah!
