• Every art style change its intentional. It's up to your interpretation the reason why.

|| Some hints;;

• The glitchy effect reflects doubt, only happens when Luz and Belos are onscreen.

• Belos is the only character that doesn't get an art style change.

• Flapjack (Little Rascal) is the main plot point outside of Hunter's conflicting thought.

• Flapjack supports Hunter being the Golden Guard because that's what how he feels he is and what he'll ever be. Palisman bond with emotion, after all.

• I headcanon Lilith to see Hunter as someone who needed help but refused until he snapped. Then she changed her mind. Same with Kikimora, but she goes insane.

Just because Luz has Eliza's voice doesn't mean I ship her with Hunter.
