Chocolate House: The Pearl of Kiev Art Nouveau Architecture

The Chocolate House is a unique architectural monument in the center of Kiev, which got its name due to the color of its facade, which resembles the shade of chocolate. Built in the early XX century in the Neo-Renaissance style with Art Nouveau elements, the house served as a mansion for a wealthy Kiev philanthropist Semyon Mogilevtsev.

The building is characterized by exquisite decor, luxurious interiors and original architectural composition. Inside there are halls decorated in different styles: Renaissance, Baroque, Moorish, Rococo. Today the Chocolate House is a branch of the Kiev National Museum of Art and attracts connoisseurs of architecture and history.
