The Alpine and Western Pacific Railroad.

Overnight a Sierra Blizzard blanketed the high alpine with a few feet of snow. The morning Express clears the tracks of snow so that all the skiers, staff and visitors can reach the resorts high up in the mountains.
The Alpine and Western Pacific Railroad is one of Northern Nevada's largest and spectacular garden railroads. Construction of the railroad empire started in 1990. In 2000, it was relocated to its present location in Reno, Nevada.
It has several thousand feet of track, dozens of tunnels, bridges, and water features. The railroad circles the entire home and then through the home.
Most of the buildings are handmade from real locations around the world.
The railroad has three divisions: Alpine, Western Pacific and Tahoe Junction. One power feed to each division.
The control system is DCC from Zimo. Most locomotives and rolling stock are LGB. The track is nickel plated brass track and rail clamps from WWW.train.licom. The track rests on continuous, concrete landscape curbing.
Trains run year-round as long as there's not too much snow in the wintertime.

The railroad hosts multiple open houses and charity events. The railroad has raised over 1/2 million dollars for local and national charities.
