Welcome to this instructional video on how to easily use QR codes. QR codes are very common today. They look like this. You might see them on a restaurant's window, for example, for phone-based ordering. You could also see one on a flyer or a variety of other places. QR codes are used to share information like website URLs.This makes it super easy to do things like open a restaurant's menu or visit a website shared on a flyer. Most smartphones that are equipped with cameras can scan QR codes.

On an Apple device, like an iPhone, this can be done the following way. Turn on and unlock the phone. Then, navigate to the camera app on the home screen. Point the phone's camera at a QR code. When the phone has found the QR code, a small bar will appear at the top of the screen. Tap on this bar to go to the URL on the QR code.

On Android devices, like a Samsung or a Pixel, the process is a bit different, but still fairly simple. If you have a very new Android device from the last year or so, you might be able to follow the same steps as an iPhone. Most Android devices, however, will need to use the following steps. Turn on and unlock the phone. Then navigate to the “Play Store” app. Tap on the search bar and type “QR Code Reader”. Tap on the app titled “QR Code Reader and Scanner”, then tap “Install”. Once it has installed, tap “open”. In the future, you will be able to navigate directly through the app through the home screen. You only need to download it once. Open the app and then point the camera at a QR code. When the phone sees a QR code, it will automatically open the link.
