Takahata Fudo-son - Autumn Leaves Viewing (November - Tokyo in 12 months)

Takahata Fudo-son attracts 2 million visitors a year
Unlike other famous spots where the autumn leaves of Japanese maples are mostly red, the maple leaves at Takahata Fudo-son are rich in color, including yellow and orange in addition to red.
It has over 1,300 Japanese maple trees, a quarter of which are between 100 and 300 years old. Specially, the hill behind Takahata Fudo-son (starting at 6:19) is rich in Japanese maple trees. On the southwest side of the hill, which receives a lot of sunlight, the maple leaves are beautiful as sunlight filters through them.
The autumn leaves at nearby Showa Memorial Park change color early, but the best viewing time at Takahata Fudo-son is about two weeks later.
