Bryan Nash Gill published Woodcut in 2012. In it, he showcased his beautiful prints of stumps, tree cuts, and lumber. He also discussed his process. In this video, I'll walk you through the process from prepping to printing step by step.

You'll need:
An angle grinder with a 24 grit sanding disk.
Belt sander with 40 and 80 grit belts.
Palm sander with 80 and 120 grit disks.
A propane torch.
Compressed air.
A stiff, nylon bristled scrub brush.
Shellac and brush or rag to apply (and a latex glove).

For printing:
Rice or printing paper.
Printing ink (relief, etching, intaglio will all work).
A brayer.
A baren.
A sponge or piece of foam.
