2024 Sweaty Yeti NRL X-Match stage 1.

Shooters I want yall to take a lesson from me from Stage 1 of The Sweaty Yeti this past weekend. Look at my position, watch my heart rate and breathing in the reticle & watch where I held on these plates. This is what NOT to do. Now granted I got 7/12 possible impacts, but that’s not great either.

Stage Description

Shooter will make a position and engage the TYL Rack from Large to Small with 2 shots each. Targets are HIT TO ADVANCE.
12 shots, 120 points possible, 105sec par time.

1st- I held in the bottom 1/3 of the target instead of top 3rd. This meant I was giving up TONS of plate real estate for elevation.

2nd- I put BOTH Knees down instead of 1 with my emotional support pillow to fill the gap under my arm for stability. This would have been a better situation for me than chicken wing to the side of the trailer. It’s my natural practice position and I know how to get stable there. Chad Heckler of 5x5 Precision and Miles to Matches is cringing at my position. This is EXACTLY why he says never put both knees on the ground.

3rd- I could have used Tripod Rear and positioned myself in the center of the trailer and been rock solid.

I make these videos to learn off of and I hope some of y’all can learn from what I do as well. This one one I learned a lot from!
