Let's Play Core Keeper (BLIND) - Episode 1

In a complete moment of chance, I came across Core Keeper on Steam while browsing the Spring sale. This game caught my eye for multiple reasons. Related in gameplay to games I love to death? Mechanics that I adore in sandbox/survival? Beautiful looking pixel graphics? Co-Op? An official Terraria crossover that I didn't even know existed!? I'm sold.

So yeah, I originally bought this game for both Aki & I to play together, and while we did start a world, it's been almost impossible getting her to sit down and play much of it. As a result, I decided to start a solo world to feed my desire to explore the underground world of Core Keeper, unfortunately alone.

Core Keeper is an open world sandbox exploration & survival style game with an isometric view. It takes elements from many great games, such as Terraria, Stardew Valley, and then some. Combining them together in a perfect mixture. There's things here I actually love more than contemporary titles, though it's still an Early Access work in progress as of writing this description for the first episode. There's randomly generated caves, treasure, bosses, and more to discover. Even a mysterious story, supposedly. One of my favorite aspects is the references to popular culture stuff like Anime & games.

In the long run, this LP isn't really a Willy Nilly one. See, the world itself is infinite (With certain elements that are limited). So in that regard, the LP could go on forever. However, it does have an "ending" planned down the road, and only so many bosses currently. So it's possible that I will actually bring the LP to an official close at a point with a "finale" episode. We'll see.

I do have footage of Co-Op gameplay.. which I may upload as a series at some point. Given that more footage can be captured for it. Otherwise I may just ship it as a small few gameplay parts for the Gameplay Playlist.

NOTE: This Let's Play is marked as "BLIND". However I've experienced the first few hours with Aki, and my temporary solo world that came before this one. Everything beyond that point is entirely new to me though. "BLIND" means I've never played or experienced what I'm playing before, or more specifically in this case, past the opening hours. & thus don't know what to expect. This feels way more natural for this instance, than leaving it out of the title or choosing to call it "BLIND-Ish" like I have for other games.

NOTE 2: I'll be publishing videos of this series in 1440p60fps with a custom thumbnail banner. They will not have a unique intro or outro though.

SUBNOTE: You may notice micro-stutters or freezes in the footage at times. This is due to an issue with OBS Studio that I've had for a while now. The stutters do not occur during live gameplay.
