Описание к видео Vermont Walks - The Vermont State House in Montpelier, VT ・ 4K

The Vermont State House is one of the oldest and best preserved state capitols. After nearly 160 years it remains an icon in Montpelier, Vermont. Its House and Senate chambers are the oldest active legislative halls in the United States that have preserved their original interiors.

We take a short tour through a few highlights of the state house, including:
The Main Lobby which features "Lincoln" by Brattleboro-born sculptor Larkin Goldsmith Mead.
The Cedar Creek Room, a large reception room featuring the mural, the Battle of Cedar Creek during the American Civil War.
Representatives Hall is the largest chamber in the State House—restored to its late-1850s splendor.
The Senate Chamber, which has elliptical curves and replicated carpet and drapes from the mid-19th century.
And historic works of art throughout!
