SAVING SO MUCH MONEY ON FOOD | MAKING DO WITH FOOD IN THE HOUSE | Aldi Haul & Fridge Update PT. 3
Elo! Part 3 of my Making Do series, where we are using up and eating the food we already have in the house, the cupboards fridge and freezer. Making meals out of the basics we have and seeing how much money we can save on our food shop. Meal planning with a better budget and a better outlook on what we already have, what we can make with what is in the fridge and only buying the food we actually need. In this vlog I show you our recent midi sized Aldi Haul. We bought some necessities from Aldi but so far we are doing amazingly at using up the food already in the house and it has saved SO MUCH money already!

Butter Chicken Recipe:
Full Fat Yogurt - 1/2 cup
1tsp Tumeric
2 tsp Garam Masala
1 tbsp Cumin powder
2 tsp Ginger powder
3 garlic cloves
3 chicken breasts (for 2 adults and baby batch cooking)
3-5 tbsp Ghee or unsalted butter
1 onion diced small
Garlic
Tinned Tomatoes
1/2 Cup of Water
1/2 Cup of Double cream

Marinade the chicken as early as possible in the day.
Marinade: Chicken, 1 tsp Garam Masala, 1 tbsp Cumin powder, 3 garlic cloves minced, 1 tsp Ginger powder, Full Fat Yogurt - 1/2 cup, 1tsp Tumeric (add salt/ chilli if making for just adults).
Fry chicken in marinade and 1 tbsp butter until cooked on the outside, remove from pan and set aside.
Saute the onion, add in the remaining butter, ginger, Garam Masala, water and tinned tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the double cream. Add the chicken back in and cook until consistency is to your liking and chicken is cooked through. A longer and slow cook makes the chicken very tender!

Optional:
Salt, Chillis, 1 tsp Fenugreek, coriander.
