The Kawasaki Z900 is one of the sweetest sounding motorcycles available in India, even with the stock exhaust. There are no two ways about it. But what if someone wants more?

Speedmonks Performance Centre in Gurgaon installed an Austin Racing GP1/R de-cat slip on exhaust for one such customer, whose primary requirement was bass and weight loss.

Believe me, this is probably the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard on a sub-litre inline four motorcycle. Much better than the 2019 Honda CBR 650R that was installed with the same exhaust just an hour before shooting this video. Everyone present at Speedmonks was in awe and a bit jealous of the outcome, to be honest.

The bike also easily dropped 10 kg and that can never be a bad thing.

Installing exhausts on such bikes with a big collector box and a catalytic converter can never be an easy task. The collector box had to be cut from the headers and the cat had to be meticulously destroyed since it would not come out in one piece. Nonetheless, hard work always pays off, and the owner could not have been happier.

Now, the specifics:

Exhaust model used: Austin Racing GP1/R

Exhaust weight: 1 kg

Performance gain: About 3-5 BHP expected

Exhaust price: Only Gilles Singh (Speedmonks owner) can tell. Contact him at: +91 9599100494
