The Railway by the Mills with the caves to the Colliery - A Nottinghamshire Disused Railway Walk

The Midland Railway had quite a large amount of railways in Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire. Some used for mixed traffic some only for freight. One such Midland Railway was the one from Mansfield Woodhouse in Nottinghamshire off towards Pleasley Colliery.

This railway bypassed the iconic Pleasley Mills, still standing today. Over Pleasley Colliery and onto the still existant Pleasley Colliery that closed back in 1983.
