The Sherman Tanks at Omaha Beach - D-Day | Tank Battles of WW2

In this video we will take a closer look at the landings of two Sherman tank Battalions at Omaha Beach on D-Day, June 6 1944. The story of the 741st and 743rd Tank Battalions in storming the Normandy beaches is one of mixed success. While they helped to pave the way for the infantry, they endured heavy losses in return.
