Many of the specific wire types may have differing wire colors depending on edition of the vehicle (S, LE, XRS)

The wire colors I found specific to a 2013 Corolla LE for a Directed-type Remote Start (ie. Viper, Python, Avital):

12 Volt Power: 10 gauge white wire behind the OBD/Hood Pop panel, left of the steering column (Red from RS)
- Tests 12 Volt all of the time
Starter Wire: Black (Pin 8), bottom left pin of the ignition harness (Purple from RS)
- Tests 12 Volt only when the key is in the "Start" position
Ignition 1: Gray (Pin 6), two pins to the right of the starter wire (Pink from RS)
- Tests 12 Volt when the key is in the "On" and "Start" positions
Ignition 2: Green (Pin 4), one up from the starter wire (Pink/White from RS)
- Tests 12 Volt when the key is in the "On" and "Start" positions
Accessory: Light Gray (Pin 3), one to the right of the Ignition 2 wire (Orange from RS)
- Tests 12 Volt when the key is in the "Acc" and "On" positions but NOT the "Start" position
Keysense: Blue, 2-pin harness next to ignition connected to ignition ring (Blue or Blue/White from RS)
- Tests 12 Volt when the key is not in the cylinder. 0 Volt/Ground when the key is in the cylinder
- Only needed if there is a factory alarm
Parking Lights (-) : Brown (Pin 18), lights harness 2nd wire in from the left (White from RS)
- With the red lead of the multimeter in 12 Volt constant and the black lead in the parking lights wire, it will read 0 Volts when the lights are off and 12 Volts when the lights are on.
- Change the parking light jumper on the RS to negative
Tach: Gray (Pin 9), OBD plug, bottom left pin if viewed from the front (Purple/White from RS)
- Tests 4-10 Volts AC when the car is running
Brake: Blue (Pin 9), at the brake pedal switch under the dash (Brown from RS)
- Tests 12 Volt when the brake pedal is pressed
