In this video, I share what the "contractor" space looks like from a ranking perspective in Syracuse, New York. Next, I took a random listing below 10% in SoLV (Share of Local Voice) to look at and see how they can rank better for the term "contract" in a 10-mile radius around their location. Some of the SEO for Contractor ways that they can rank better include:

1) Adding photos of their team members working to their GMB account
2) Respond to reviews on their GMB account
3) Adding a product carousel that highlights each service that the website offers on their Google My Business account
4) Adding questions and answers to their GMB account
5) Adding updates to the GMB account
6) Expanding their description to include more keywords + cities around Syracuse

For Bing, they are doing many things right.

1) Service areas around Saratoga Springs
2) Getting reviews outside of Google My Business

I also go over some ideas for how they can "localize" their service pages better in and around Syracuse. I didn't look at their keyword rankings, but I suggested they add an "areas served" section to list of nearby places they drive to

Finally, at the end of the video, I share how companies can look up where their website is listed outside their domain. From there, you can then change the query to look up "contractor Syracuse" keywords to find local and relevant directories to get listed on
