Here is part 1 of our trip up the Vevey - Mont Pelerin funicular railway. This was the first funicular I've been on, and I really enjoyed the experience of going on one. The railway was constructed in 1899, has 1584m of track length with the highest point at 807m. It has a maximum incline of 54%, from La Baume to Mont Pelerin.
In this video, I show you the ascent, the stunning view you get from the terrace of the nearby restaurant, and the church with its bells ringing for a wedding. We tried to find the tower right at the summit of Mont Pelerin but we went the wrong way, and we had already had quite a long walk anyway.
