Nighthawk Project - "Purple Droid" (Synth 1, VK-1, Tyrell-N6, SQ8L) Freeware VSTi synthesizer demo

This track was inspired by the music of Purple Disco Machine.

Genre: Synthwave/Retrowave

The music was recorded with Image Line's FL Studio 21.2.3 (build 4004).

The following patches were used:

Synth 1:
Patch no. 28: "trinkle ARP style Modi 2"
(from the Lukas Lundh "Modified80spatches" patch bank)

Blamsoft VK-1:
"Synthwave - SY Ricochet EX"
(from the "Synthwave by eXode" preset patch bank)

Tyrell-N6:
"Polysix Pad"
(from the "DocM" preset patch bank)

SQ8L:
Preset A005 "CLOCK BELL"

For the drum sounds I used samples of the Yamaha RX11 (Bass Drum, Cowbell, Shaker) and Roland TR-707 (Snare) as well as FL Studio's internal "808 Clap" and "808 HiHat" (closed) from the Roland TR-808.

In addition to some of the internal effects from FL Studio (multi-band compressor, soundgoodizer, reverb, phaser, compressor, delay, parametric EQ) the following freeware effects were used:

Audio Damage, Inc. ADverb
Voxengo OldSkoolVerb v.2.8
TAL-Chorus-LX

The track was later normalized with Wavosaur 1.8.0.0 (freeware).

The video was realized with Microsoft Windows Movie Maker 2012.

The "Droid" part was created with FL Studio's internal ZGameEditorVisualizer.
