Mt Stuart Complete North Ridge

Описание к видео Mt Stuart Complete North Ridge

This was a fast-and-light trip on the North Ridge of Mt. Stuart near Leavenworth, Washington. We did the complete north ridge with the great gendarme included. The technical portion of the route starts around 6,600ft. and tops-out on the summit at 9,400ft. for a total gain of 2,800ft. while on-route. There is a fair amount of moderate climbing interspersed with more difficult climbing up to 5.9. Some topos give the route 18 pitches, though whether this is all pitched climbing depends how you decide to manage the terrain. We took the Mountaineer's Creek approach to a campsite, slept until 1am, and summited at 1pm the following day. We then descended the Cascadian Couloir and exited at the Ingall's Lake Trailhead. We carried our overnight kit up and over the mountain, but did not need to use it. This was my first time on the route, and it had excellent rock and incredible position. Highly recommend.
