King Parikshit was wearing a gold crown at this time, which he had inherited from his ancestors. This gold was involved in sinful deeds. Taking advantage of this, Kalyug entered the crown and took away the gold from the king. It took over my head, while hunting in the forest king Parikshit felt thirsty, he saw a hut in the forest, when he entered he saw sage Shamik engrossed in meditation.
