Adam Aron the CEO of AMC entertainment had a talk at his Chicago theater about the January short squeeze that took place on the 27th of January. There were 1.2 billion shares traded that day when only 50 million shares were tradable in the entire AMC float. He claims this is one of the exact reasons why something was not right and the institutions were trying to dump the price on the retail investors and apes head.

The same occurrence happened in GME GameStop Stock the same day, with GME stock being 200% short this was a massive market wide short squeeze that caused billions of dollars of losses to hedge Funds and put a lot of these firms out of business for maliciously trying to short these businesses into bankruptcy.
