Cheapest travel in New Zealand? Train, car, bus or plane?

I just came back from my trip to New Zealand and it was amazing! For those of you who are planning to visit there, then you must know how expensive it can be so I wanted to use this video to share my experience and explain the different types of transportation you can use to get from one city to the next and list out their pros and cons so hopefully it can make your trip planning easier. Hopefully, you’d be able to save some money along the way!

Let's imagine we're going from Auckland to Wellington, there's plenty of ways of traveling there. Let's start off with car rentals. If you go with Avis, you can see that their prices are insane...another option is to go with a popular car rental place called Jucy. If we choose the cheapest car and not add any extras, we still have to pay $51, but don't forget to include gas in there as well!
Another option is to take the train, it's pretty pricey and for the route from Auckland to Wellington, it only runs 3 out of 7 days a week, so if you're on a tight schedule, that could be a bummer!
Another option is to take a plane with Air New Zealand, they have tickets as low as $59 but remember there's additional charges for choosing your seats and bringing on a checked bag. Also, taking the plane can save you a lot of time but you'll miss out on the great scenery.
Finally, there's the option of taking the bus with Intercity. It's the cheapest alternative there is and you get to see the beautiful scenery without having to drive! Also, check out their travel passes, you might be able to save on that too!
