In today's video we are taking a look at our first battles for the new season of Pokemon GO Battle League, Season 8. In this video we are taking our first look at Hippowdon with the brand new Rock type Weather Ball. Weather Ball is one of the most spammy charge moves in the game and having access to this move instantly makes Hippowdon a viable option to consider in the GBL.

Hippowdon has a very nice selection of moves to choose from, with 3 elemental Fang moves and a wide array of charge moves including Body Slam, Earth Power and Earthquake.

Joining Hippowdon on this team is Galvantula in the lead and Vigoroth as the safe-switch. Being as these are the first battles of the season, we will be experimenting a bit more on the spice side and trying to use less of the more common meta picks such as Stunfisk, Azumarill and Deoxys.

In this video we use a team consisting of: Galvantula (Volt Switch, Lunge Discharge), Hippowdon (Ice Fang, Weather Ball, Earth Power), & Vigoroth (Counter, Body Slam, Bulldoze).
