Templates can be a huge time saver in the world of producing and mixing music, however normally when templates are discussed it's all about mixing. In this video I want to make the case for having a recording / tracking template - why you need one and what should be on it.

I show you my exact recording template that I use for Cubase Pro, however you can copy it or adapt it for any DAW you like. Having this template means when you open a session, everything is ready to go so you can start recording, rather than having to spend time setting up tracks, instruments and FX sends. This will help you stay in your creative zone, and ultimate write better songs and deliver better performances without any distractions.
