The first cat furniture we designed was for our own home. It was in a state of evolution for years as pieces were put up, changed, improved and re-designed based on the feedback of Pickles, Peanut and Pumpkin... very demanding taskmasters, for sure.

However functional the furniture was for us, though, it was all wall-mounted and didn't work for the majority of cat lovers who can't drill into their walls because they are renting or such.

So, it was back to the drawing board and after some intense brainstorming sessions, the Modular Cat Tree design was born.

THE DESIGN
The Modular Cat Tree was designed to be... well... modular! Every home you go into is different so we wanted the design to be flexible. The core design piece is the standard length of sisal pole. Add in a base, a tension piece at the top, some shelves and maybe even a bridge... and you have a great climbing setup for your cats.

Here's a visual showing how the Modular Cat Tree is assembled. In this KickStarter campaign, the cat trees are bundled so all packages arrive with all the components included.
