उत्तर प्रदेश योगी आदित्यनाथ सरकार ने लखनऊ में स्थित अमौसी एयरपोर्ट के ठीक सामने भगवान लक्ष्मण की 12 फुट की मूर्ति लगाई। अमौसी एयरपोर्ट पर जैसे ही सरकार ने भगवान लक्ष्मण की मूर्ति को स्थापित करवाया, उसके 24 घंटे के बाद ही भाजपा के सांसद संगम लाल गुप्ता ने प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी, गृहमंत्री और सीएम योगी आदित्यनाथ को एक पत्र लिखा। अपने पत्र में उन्होंने लखनऊ का नाम बदलकर लखनपुर या लक्ष्मणपुर करने की मांग की।

BJP MP Sangam Lal Gupta wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister and CM Yogi Adityanath only 24 hours after the government installed the statue of Lord Laxman at Amausi airport. In his letter, he demanded to change the name of Lucknow to Lakhanpur or Laxmanpur.
