Tool-assisted superplay (TAS) of Splatterhouse Arcade

What is a TAS?    / prog61  

Notes:
-This is just a quick TAS of SplatterHouse, it took me about 8 hours to do, so I know there are a lot of things that could be optimized.

How to slide:
-Go in one direction (Left or Right)
-Press jump, you can press jump and direction at the same time, but you need to hold direction
-Just before you hit the ground at the end of the jump, press Down + Attack, you only have a 4 frame window, from frame 32 to 35 after the jump

-In stage IV, you can pass the rotating blades on the ground without jumping more than once (5:40), just by walking, but the timing is very tight (don't try this at home 😀)

-In the hall of mirrors, the player's hitbox looks really small, see the video (6:20), the enemy has his fist in the player's face and there is no collision.

-On stage V, you have several choice of path. I don't know which is the fastest, I'll have to watch some speedrun videos.
