In this video, I show how to plant potatoes in 5 gallon buckets. It's important to grow the potatoes at the correct depth. There should be 4 inches of soil at the bottom of the bucket, and then the potatoes should be placed on top. The potatoes should be covered up to the 10 inch line. The potatoes should be sprinkled with sulfur for two reasons. It will help the plant uptake nutrients, and it will keep the potatoes from rotting in the bucket. Having proper drainage holes will also keep the potatoes from rotting. It is important to fertilize the bucket with bone meal, it helps with strong root growth. Having the buckets off the ground helps with drainage and it makes it harder for ants to get into the bucket.
