Trains in South Australia: Test trains on the Port Dock Line!

Captured on the 6th and 23rd of August 2024, this video offers a look at the driver training runs for the newly completed Port Dock Line, set to open to regular service on Sunday, the 25th of August. This $51 million project represents a significant enhancement to the Adelaide rail network (chuckles).

The Port Dock Line branches off from the Outer Harbor Line near the former Rosewater Junction, now known as Port Adelaide Junction. A crossing loop is provided just after the junction with the loop signaled for left-hand running before it transitions back to single track, bidirectional working down to the Port Dock Interchange next to the National Railway Museum.
