The 2020 Le Man's Esport Series Super Finals brought together players from around the globe for some of the greatest and most epic racing moments in Forza Motorsport history, with Professional and Pro-Am teams fighting tooth and nail against each other in cars of different eras at Le Mans, spread across 4 days (otherwise called Segments) with the two lowest scoring teams of each day being eliminated.

With the competition being held on Forza Motorsport 7, you wouldn’t be blamed for thinking the victory was based all on which teams had the fastest pace averaged across their players... Or Maybe which teams had the most Top 20 players in their roster of 3 total drivers. But as viewers witnessed as early as Day 1, there were strategies at play that swung some teams from bottom to top, whilst front runners tumbled down the order. And this was no more evident than in Day 1, race 3, a 2 hour endurance race at Old Le Mans for double points to avoid elimination whereby Australian racer Lagalot representing APEX HUNTERS swung from a mediocre mid-pack position he held for 29 laps to clutch a 1st place in the closing 10 seconds of the race.

Not only did APEX HUNTERS calculate how many laps they could run by fuel saving, but precisely how far down the road they could push their car before the countdown timer reached 0. What is this strategic wizardry on Forza, you ask: Fuel Saving.
