This is one of the most popular verses in the Gospel of John - El Evangelio según san Juan.
In this video, I show you step by step how to read this verse. Then we practise each sentence. I give you tips to get all the words right. I show you the mistakes you’re likely to be making, and how to say the lines like a native.

The aim of this video is to help you read the Bible in Spanish fluently, and understand every word. Throughout the video, I point out the most difficult words, and encourage you to say them out loud with me. Then I walk you through how to say this verse with the right intonation to sound like a native.

While we read this Bible verse, I also show you the verbs to focus on. Some of the tenses in this verse are quite easy, but others are more challenging, like the subjunctive "perezca".

Another grammar point I make in this video is word order. In Spanish, describing words usually go after the noun they describe (vida eterna), unlike in English where they go first (eternal life).

Those grammar points and pronunciation tips will help you improve your Spanish fast and at the steady pace you need to keep up your motivation.
