Filmmaker #VivekAgnihotri has alleged that theatre owners in #WestBengal, including major multiplex chains, are being intimidated by the state government and police to not screen his upcoming film #TheBengalFiles, labeling the pressure as "#illegal and unconstitutional." He stated that exhibitors have warned, “What will we do if they barge in and destroy our property?”

In response, the #filmmakers are considering legal action, potentially filing a writ petition, and his co-producer #PallaviJoshi has also appealed to President #DroupadiMurmu, describing the situation as an "unofficial ban."
