Will Oneplus 5T damage by high temperature? Is OnePlus 5T waterproof or water resistant? It is officially annouced that OnePlus 5T is not waterproof, but splash resistant. I’ll find out the truth.

In the heating test, I put my oneplus 5T on a heating machine which is set on 100℃. The phone is heated for more than 4 minutes. I measured the temperature of oneplus 5T once per minute. You can see the changing of temperatures of CPU and screen. The temperature of CPU go up to 67℃ and the device is still working normally.

After heating up the phone, I let my OnePlus 5T free cool down and measured the temperatures once per 5 minutes. The device cooled down quickly in the first 5 minutes.

In my water tests of OnePlus 5T, I splashed water all over the handset, washed and immerse OnePlus 5T for a while. And after the tests I torn down the device to see the water damage inside the phone.
We found that OnePlus 5T is splash resistant, but it is definitely not water resistant.
My suggetion is : Don’t put your OnePlus 5T into water, even for a little while.
