Sri Lanka and New Zealand faced each other at the Galle International Stadium for the 2nd Test match. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Day 1 ended with Sri Lanka scoring 306 runs but lost 3 wickets in the process. Dinesh Chandimal was the top scorer with a brilliant 116-run knock.
