Gone are the days when people head out to clubs and spend the entire night getting smashed. Conservative drinking is the trend now, and many nightlife destinations have taken a new approach — combining both gourmet and the party scene into one. One of such concepts is a hidden wine bar in Keong Saik, known as @bigwinefreaks.sg. 🎉

Passing their one year mark, it’s clear to us that Big Wine Freaks have become a cult favourite, as their space is packed full of party-goers and casual diners alike. The one thing that really stood out to us is the way they decorate the space — think New York supper clubs with an artful blend of light, colour and texture. Even their seatings are unconventional, with a U-shaped two-way communal counter that spells disaster for introverts out there. 🍽️

We were told it was a wine bar, so we’re expecting the typical fare like cheese, cold cuts.. but instead, the menu was surprisingly a lot more Asian, with dishes like freshly-cut sashimi and King Crab Tacos. Food was pretty decent, but the vibes was what really made us stay on.
