The Soul Never Dies |LORD KRISHNA’S LIFE LESSON | GITA GYAN DAY 3 |Bhagavad Gita(2.20–2.25)Explained

Bhagavad Gita 2.20

Transliteration:
na jāyate mriyate vā kadācin nāyaṁ bhūtvā bhavitā vā na bhūyaḥ
ajo nityaḥ śāśvato ’yaṁ purāṇo na hanyate hanyamāne śarīre

Meaning:
The soul is never born, nor does it ever die; it has not come into being, nor will it ever cease to be. It is unborn, eternal, everlasting, and primeval. Though the body is destroyed, the soul is never slain.

---

Bhagavad Gita 2.21

Transliteration:
vedāvināśinaṁ nityaṁ ya enam ajam avyayam
kathaṁ sa puruṣaḥ pārtha kaṁ ghātayati hanti kam

Meaning:
O Parth (Arjuna), one who knows the soul to be indestructible, eternal, unborn, and immutable—how can that person kill anyone, or cause anyone to kill?

---

Bhagavad Gita 2.22

Transliteration:
vāsāṁsi jīrṇāni yathā vihāya navāni gṛhṇāti naro ’parāṇi
tathā śarīrāṇi vihāya jīrṇāny anyāni saṁyāti navāni dehī

Meaning:
Just as a person discards old garments and puts on new ones, the soul similarly abandons worn-out bodies and takes on new ones.

---

Bhagavad Gita 2.23

Transliteration:
nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ
na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo na śoṣayati mārutaḥ

Meaning:
Weapons cannot cut the soul, fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it, and the wind cannot dry it.

---

Bhagavad Gita 2.24

Transliteration:
acchedyo ’yam adāhyo ’yam akledyo ’śoṣya eva ca
nityaḥ sarvagataḥ sthāṇur acalo ’yaṁ sanātanaḥ

Meaning:
The soul is unbreakable, incombustible, insoluble, and cannot be dried. It is eternal, all-pervading, stable, immovable, and everlasting.

---

Bhagavad Gita 2.25

Transliteration:
avyakto ’yam acintyo ’yam avikāryo ’yam ucyate
tasmād evaṁ viditvainaṁ nānuśocitum arhasi

Meaning:
This soul is invisible, inconceivable, and unchangeable. Knowing this, you should not grieve for the body.

---

💫 Essence of 2.20–2.25:
Krishna teaches Arjuna that the soul is eternal — it cannot be destroyed, burnt, cut, or dried. The body perishes, but the soul remains untouched and everlasting. Therefore, one should not mourn for the death of the body.

---

When the world fears death, Lord Krishna reveals the eternal truth —
The soul is never born, nor does it ever die.
It cannot be cut by weapons, burnt by fire, wetted by water, or dried by air.
It is eternal, indestructible, and ever-present — beyond all material destruction.

🎧 Chapter 2 – Verses 20 to 25 from the Bhagavad Gita, where Shri Krishna teaches Arjuna the nature of the soul and the true meaning of life and death.

🌿 Message:
Don’t grieve for what is eternal. The body perishes, but the soul lives forever.
