Feliks Bronisław Tymoteusz Rybicki (born 24 January 1899 in Warsaw, died 24 August 1978 there). Polish composer, conductor and pedagogue.
He was the son of Józef Rybicki and Aleksandra, née Borzysławska. In 1916 he graduated from the Wojciech Górski Gymnasium in Warsaw. Between 1919 and 1925 he studied composition with Roman Statkowski and, after his death, with Witold Maliszewski, and conducting with Emil Młynarski and Henryk Melcer at the State Music Conservatory in Warsaw. In 1924 he married Helena, née Penther (1903-1976). He made his debut as a conductor at the Warsaw Philharmonic (1926), where he was conductor of the Oratorio Choir from 1937 to 1939. During the war he taught piano and performed in Warsaw cafes. From 1945 he was active as a conductor and composer at the Polish Radio. Between 1951 and 1953 he taught at the State Higher School of Music in Sopot. From 1957 until his retirement in 1970, he directed the orchestra and choir of the State High School of Music in Warsaw.
He composed more than 50 opus works for orchestra, choir, chamber, vocal and instrumental and piano. Among the latter, works of a pedagogical nature for children and young people, including Pierwsze kroki, Op. 19, Gram wszystko, Op. 22, Mały modernista, Op. 23, Już gram, Op. 24, and Concerto for Small Hands, Op. 53, for piano and orchestra, were popular. He also wrote film music, including for the 1938 film Professor Wilczur and many others.
He was buried in the Old Powązki cemetery in Warsaw (cemetery section under wall IV-1-19).
