This video is a high-level overview of the CERVIS platform and is intended both for new Administrators as well as existing users who would simply like a general refresher of CERVIS’s capabilities and best practices. We’ll start our time today by engaging the platform from the volunteer perspective. We’re going to discuss the typical volunteer onboarding process as well as a few common alternatives. After this, we’ll take a look at the main admin dashboard, which is the first thing you’ll see as an administrator when you log in. From here, we’ll dive into the different parts of the database. We’ll talk about creating Opportunities and the different types of opportunities available, as well as how to manage them once they’re created. We’ll look at some other opportunity-related features like Stickers, Impact Tracking, and the Sign-in Console. And then we’ll take a look at the Volunteer Management portion of the database, including running searches, messaging or emailing through CERVIS, and some common managerial tasks like reporting. We’ll quickly cover working with Groups through CERVIS, and then finally, we’ll take a look at what resources are available to you as you are engaging the platform.
