Dr. Daichi Tsuna is a theoretical astrophysicist at Caltech. He received his PhD in 2022 from the University of Tokyo and has worked as a Burke postdoctoral fellow at Caltech through 2025 before moving to Harvard in Fall 2025. Daichi's research focuses on the lives of massive stars and their afterlives (supernovae, black holes, neutron stars), and their roles in various astrophysical phenomena throughout the universe. He uses a combination of analytical, semi-analytical, and numerical modeling to interpret the observational mysteries and predict phenomena observable in the future.
