This is a limited festival scheme to ease Diwali–Chhath travel rush and is available across classes for eligible bookings.

Who can avail the discount?

• Book your onward journey between 13 Oct – 26 Oct 2025 (dates for onward journeys under the scheme).
• The return journey travel window under the scheme is 17 Nov – 1 Dec 2025.
• The 20% rebate applies only to the base fare of the return ticket and the same passengers, same origin–destination and same class must be used for both trips. Confirmed tickets for both legs are required.

How to book (step-by-step):

1. Open the official IRCTC app or website and look for “Festival Round Trip / Round Trip Package” under Trains or the special banner.

2. Book the onward ticket (ensure your onward travel date falls in 13 Oct – 26 Oct 2025).

3. After booking the onward ticket, go to the Booking Confirmation page or Booked Ticket History and click “Book Return Ticket (20% Discount)” to get the discounted return fare (ensure return date falls in 17 Nov – 1 Dec 2025).

4. Make sure passenger details are identical for both tickets—changes may invalidate the discount and such tickets are often non-refundable / non-modifiable as per scheme T&Cs.
