To #ping on #Linux / #Ubuntu:

Step 1: First, to ping Linux distributions, open Terminal by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T keys.

Step 2: To ping any IP address, run the following command in the terminal.

➦ ping [IP Address]
➦ ping 192.168.1.1

Step 3: Likewise, use the following command to ping any website (domain name).

➦ ping [Domain Name]
➦ ping www.google.com
➦ ping google.com

Step 4: Add [-c number] to the ping command to ping an IP address or websites for a specified number of times.

➦ ping -c 3 192.168.1.1
