In this video I am checking the dial indicators (attached to the height stand) accuracy of movement against the raising of the height master. The ball on the end of the indicator is between 2 and 15 degrees with only the ball touching the ledges of the height master. With the height-master at 0, and the dial indicator at 0, I can move the height-master up (meaning 0 moving in the positive direction, lets say 0.0" to 0.001") and see if my indicator is reading the same as the height master. This wasn't really done well as you can see I am off by a couple tenths. The guys in my machine shop (who have 20 years experience) can get these to read "dead nuts" (perfectly) because they do a better job at setting the position up.
