Freezing day again, so cold the ground was frozen most of the day and all the 2x6 lumber was stuck together! However this is the 1st day I felt like I was actually getting somewhere! The foundations are officially complete and framing has begun: Yay!

My neighbors Jeff and Frank offered to help so they loaded up some 2x6x8 lumber into the cart and dragged it over to the building. In the meantime I finished fixing the middle girder.

Got out the hydraulic jack and jacked up the middle girder to release it from the center pier. Chipped bracket mount point down into the pier a bit and after a few tests did the same to one other pier to get it perfect. Trimmed the j-bolts and remounted the brackets, leveled and plumbed the girder then bolted it in place.

Placed, joined and cut the treated rim joists. Same with the central header joist. Started cutting and dry fitting the floor joists. Tomorrow I rake the under-building area clean and as flat as possible then finish the floor framing ready for insulation and subfloor sheeting.
