Thigh Fat is a topic of concern among both men and women. Plenty of reasons could be contributing to the increase in thigh fat/ lower body fat distribution and one of the most common symptoms are high levels of estrogen leading to a pear shaped body. High levels of estrogen can also contribute to increase in cellulite giving the thighs and hips an unaesthetic appearance. Estrogen can cause the collagen bands to split leading to a lumpy skin appearance. High levels of aromatase can also worsen the lower body fat distribution. Aromatase production increases with age, obesity and insulin.
Steps to reverse cellulite/thigh fat :
1. Calorie deficit, 25-35% deficit. Make sure you get 0.8-1g of protein per cm of height and make sure you're getting sufficient veggies.
2. Clean and healthy diet, stay away from ultra processed foods and sugar.
3. Lift weights, primarily compound exercises. They increase growth hormone production and also the free testosterone levels.
