In the second instalment of the 'Spotlight on: Research Impact', we explore how to evaluate research impact through an Impact Framework.
Tobias Schoep and Tara McLaren (Grow Impact) begin this webinar, outlining the development of the AAMRI Research Impact Framework, sharing insights into the development process and how the Framework can be used by researchers and organisations to review and evaluate their impact across a variety of domains.
Dr Anne-Maree Dowd (CSIRO) will then detail the CSIRO Impact Framework, reflecting on the benefits and challenges of developing an organisation-specific framework to evaluate impact.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHIES
Dr Tobias Schoep
General Manager, Grow Impact
Prior to founding Grow Impact, Tobias worked at Telethon Kids Institute, shaping the conversation around the impact of research. He was inaugural co-chair of the national AAMRI Research Impact Working Group which developed the AAMRI Research Impact Framework. Tobias has previously conducted research in a range of fields, and his work now focuses on how organisations can support impactful research.
Ms Tara McLaren
Head of Research Development and Commercialisation, Telethon Kids Institute
Tara has a strong interest in the global research impact agenda and the professional development of research administrators. She is co-chair of the national AAMRI Research Impact Working Group, which developed the AAMRI Research Impact Framework and is a Non-Executive Board member of Grow Impact.

Dr. Anne-Maree Dowd
Executive Manager for Performance and Evaluation, CSIRO
Anne-Maree delivers performance reporting for CSIRO, as well as manages CSIRO’s Investment Decision Making and Impact Frameworks. Anne-Maree has strategic management, planning and performance expertise, monitoring and evaluation skills, and impact assessment capabilities. She holds a PhD in Organisational Psychology and has 16 years of experience in scientific research across multiple social science disciplines.
