Joey Tempest and John Norum performing "In The Flesh?" at the Polar Music Prize ceremony [2008]

One of my favorite videos ever. The grit and the softness of this interpretation, combined together in a cover that surpasses even the original. Roger Waters seems to agree, almost tears in his eyes!

Besides not being an easy song at all to sing, also the lyric has such a deep meaning, if you "claw your way through" it, and something that comes out so made personal and heartfelt here!

“A few years ago Roger Waters was awarded the prestigious Polar Music Prize in Stockholm. Me and John Norum were invited to perform a Pink Floyd song at the ceremony. Check out what song we chose…”

So ya
Thought ya
Might like to go to the show

To feel the warm thrill of confusion
That space cadet glow

Tell me is something eluding you, sunshine?
Is this not what you expected to see?

If you want to find out what's behind these cold eyes
You'll just have to claw your way through this disguise

Lights, turn on the sound effects, action
Drop it, drop it on 'em, drop it on them
