Is it a Freeze Cup? Ice Pop? Icee? Baby, we call them ‘Dixie Cups’ where I’m from!

Today I’m taking a trip down Memory Lane with one of my favorite frozen treats from my childhood. my brother ‪@pj_morrison‬ and I used to help my daddy make them on the weekends and we had the best time!

There’s no true recipe. Just sweeten your Koolaid as much as you like (the more sugar, the softer, more enjoyable, and less ‘icey’ your final Dixie Cup will be. Normally, we use only Koolaid packets, but its is hard to find in Los Angeles these days! My local Ralph stopped selling it!

1/2c Sugar
1 4 Qt Mason Jar
1 Koolaid packet - I used the blue pack (Tropical)
2 scoop Country time lemonade mix (can be omitted if you can't find it) I prefer to use the lemonade koolaid pack
fill to top with water, a little less than 4 cups.

**taste to make sure its to your liking before freezing, too sweet, pour a little out, and add more water. Not sweet enough.. add more sugar 1 TBSP at a time.


Anywho… then freeze your cups and enjoy the next day!
