During the wettest month since time began I tagged along on Ray's guided tour of Dartmoor for three men from the East. He said the rain would stop at 10 o'clock - it didn't. He said the rain was warm - it wasn't.

I saw water where I'd never seen it before, we lost a man early in the day, a new bike ran out of oil and waterproofs proved ineffective. An epic day out.
