compilation video of our first time chartering a sailboat and it was in the northeast coast off Sardinia.

We went on the vacation with another couple so there were 4 people on the sailboat the whole time. (1 toilet)

We chartered for one week a 38 foot Benneteau yacht. It has basically one big room in the v berth up front and two quarter births (rooms) in the aft or rear of the sailboat.

It was plenty of sleeping room for all four of us.

We cooked many meals on the sailboat and also docked in a few cities on the Sardinian coast in the night.

We even caught a small tuna with a trolling handline and simple lure.

The sailing was often with light winds, and mostly calm. The water was crystal clear and great swimming. We did this in the month of October.

What is nice about chartering a sailboat like this one is the cost is not very expensive with 4 people. Also, a big bonus is that 3 of the four of us onboard have our captain’s license which meant we did not have to pay for a captain. This saved us some money.
And, if you charter the sailboats in places like Italy and for sure Sardinia in the off season (October for example compared to sailing in August) the prices will be much cheaper.
