Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Kenda Loadstar 480 by 12 bias trailer tire in a load range B. Now this bias tire's great for offroad and agricultural use. This will provide a nice smooth ride and improved handling and trailering on uneven surfaces. Now this can also be used on the highway and they do stamp on the sidewall where it says high speed on the tire. But I do wanna recommend to you that this does have a speed rating limit of 62 miles per hour.

This does provide superior stability, does reduce rolling resistance for a nice smooth ride, and it will exceed your DOT, Department of Transportation requirements. Now you might be asking, we get a lot of questions on it, if you notice the tire sort of looks deformed. The reason I wanna mention it or bring it up, 'cause we get a lot of questions in our customer service department about when they receive it, that they think it might be a damaged or bad tire. But actually because it is a bias tire, not a radial, a radial tire keeps its shape. A bias tire, just 'cause of the way it's constructed, when they ship this from overseas, it does get compacted in the container, and you can see how it sort of looks deformed or flattened.

It doesn't damage the tire at all. You can just have a tire shop that is used to, an experienced tire shop that will know how to actually install this onto your wheel. It just does require a little more work to get this to open up to fit onto the wheel. But a experienced tire shop would be able to help you with that. So if you do get this and it looks like this, don't worry, it's not bad or deformed, it just needs to be taken to a shop and put on correctly.

This will fit a wheel size of 12 inches by four inches. The tire size, which is stamped on it, 4.80-12, section width. When this is installed is about 4.8 inches. When it's installed and inflated, overall diameter is about 20.5 inches. It is a load range B, which means it is a four-ply rated tire, so it does have a maximum load capacity of 785 pounds at 60 PSI.

And I do wanna mention, as I said earlier, even though it does say high speed on the side, it is a speed rated tire up to 62 miles per hour. But that should do it for a look at this Kenda Loadstar 4.80-12 bias trailer tire in a load range B.
